Causes of Poverty
Overpopulation
- About 500million people are starving and ill.
- As population increase, the waste will increase which will harm the environment. As this happens, this problem will lead us to deterioration of natural environment.
- There are many countries that suffer from the poverty such as Africa. Many people have diseases and as time pass, it spreads out.
- Children in the developing countries are five times likely to die from the illness than the developed countries.
- As we build more housing for the poor people, we have to chop down many forests.
Lack of education
- Kids who do not have enough education are likely to have difficulty in finding jobs and universities.
- Lack of education may lead the children to be violent, one of the juvenile delinquents, and criminals.
- 771milion adults and more than 100milion children around the world did not have sufficient education.
- Managed Healthcare Executive clarified that as students have a lack of education and get attached to drugs, it can affect students to have behavioral problems.
Lack of employment
- As financial crises happen, people naturally get to lose their jobs which can cause a great amount of poverty.
- This situation often happens to slum dweller that got kicked out from their homes because of development that government was planning.

During the long summer vacation, Liz spent her half of the break at Korea. With her family, dad, mom, and her sister, they rode on an Aisana Airline. “It was relaxing plane trip,” she says. When she arrived in Incheon Airport, lots of people were busy wearing masks because of Swineflu and population in airport decreased. “I also wore my mask on because I was afraid of getting infected from people who have swineflu,” she startled.
When she finished finding her baggage, she headed to her home, Seongnam city in Korea peninsula; the population of people in Seongnam city is 930,000 and the whole area is 142km. Seongnam city is famous for the fortress wall, Namhansanseong. It has beautiful view of green trees and lots of tourists visit there during autumn.
Many young Korean students live at Seohyundong in Seongnam city where Liz lived when she was staying at Korea. “Basically, the main purpose was to study and have fun at there. I stayed at Seongnam city with my relatives. Seohyundong had a beautiful view, it had lush trees, red flowers laid out around the sidewalk, nice cool breeze was blowing, and pedestrians were having nice resting on the bench,” she continues. Liz enjoyed the fine landscape of Korea and was glad to see the calmness of the environment. “Unexpectedly, this calming view didn’t totally represent the Korean students,” she says in a firm voice. “They were like Spartans, if they start to study, they sit and continue studying at least for three hours,” she explains it seriously. “They woke up at 6:30a.m. and slept at 1:30a.m because of competitive studying. Since I was a student I had to study like them. It was absolutely hard to adjust in that environment. It was really harsh, difficult, and sleepy vacation,” she concludes with exhausting voice.
Welcome to ISM-Online!. Welcome back! Hope you had a great summer, let’s get started.
